PERITUS experts are senior, independent construction industry professionals conversant with engineering, building and oil & gas projects. At PERITUS, our experts are required to meet the following minimum experience and qualification criteria:

  • A minimum of 15 years’ relevant construction industry experience
  • Holds education qualifications in both technical and legal disciplines
  • Obtained relevant professional qualifications in the built environment
  • Qualified with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators or equivalent
  • Presented no less than 10 expert witness statements or opinion reports
  • Given oral evidence and cross-examined in at least 4 proceedings
  • An Accredited Expert of the Academy of Experts or equivalent

PERITUS experts have demonstrable expertise in one or more of the following areas:

  • Administration of high value, complex construction projects
  • Delay analysis for construction projects to establish the cause and effect of delay
  • Extension of Time (“EOT”) entitlement in respect of the relevant contractual provisions
  • Loss & Expense claim arising from delays to construction projects
  • Quantum assessment for work done, variations and other changes to the works
  • General damages including loss of profit for breach of contract
  • Grounds for contract termination and damages suffered
  • Interpretation of construction contract provisions
  • Construction technology, defective works and related damages claims.

PERITUS experts have extensive hands-on working experience within the construction industry, a proven track record in acting as an independent expert, and trained to be bound by a strict code of conduct imposed by distinguished professional institutions, to uphold independence, impartiality and integrity when performing his duties.
